Gain an awareness of how sexism is all around us: from books and language to clothes and toys, we will shine some light on the many ways children receive those messages. What are the consequences and what can we do about it.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF YOU WANT TO…
Help parents feel supported and have the right tools and strategies to tackle difficult conversations and lead by example.
Allow the children to continue the conversation on gender stereotypes outside the school and in their homes.
Promote inclusivity and enhance the Parent-Child relationship by educating them on gender equality and consequently helping them break down harmful stereotypes.
Challenge gender norms by allowing parents to reflect on their own biases and support their children’s choices.
Demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Fuel parent advocacy. Parents who feel supported are more likely to participate in parent-teacher associations and support school initiatives. This collaboration can lead to truly meaningful changes in policies and practices.
